| Bhairon
Garhi & Hanuman are situated
in the shivalik range of Garhwal
Himlaya and are famous Pilgrimage
& Historical places and are
counted in Bhawan Garh of Garhwal.
Hanuman Garhi is oldest Garhi of
this area. This Garhi was not
situated in an inapproachable
place so Bhairon Garhi was
established in the height of 7000
ft. In 1790 Gorkha attack in
garhwal. They They
tried fought till 28 days but
couldn’t win the Garhi. Gorkha
won this Garhi in 1804 when they
attacked from another side.

| A
sparkling lake surrounded by dense
forests. The famous Himalayan trouts are
found in abundance in the lake. Here is a
dazzling body of water in the midst of an
extremely dense forest of oak, pine, and
deodar. Fed by natural springs in its
depths. It provides an idyllic retreat for
rest and recreational activities. The lake
about 1.5 kilometers in circumference,
calm and placed in a setting equally calm
and lovely, in direct contract to what
lies ahead of the trek when, after a few
kilometers, the scenery will change to
rough, rugged and awesome in its wild
beauty. A beautiful camping site, while
behind the lake is the magnificent back -
drop of the blue sky playing with the
mighty peaks of the
Himalayas
truly a veritable temple of nature.

| Bhairavgarhi is a popular religious place Approx.
48 kms from the town Kotdwara. Route is
Kotdwara-Dugadda-Gumkhal and from Gumkhal,
it is on the Kirtikhal road (around 12 kms).
From this point, we need to trek around
2kms for BhiaravGarhi temple. As this
place is on the top, scenary is awesome
from here. Perticularly the valley view
with brown grass is soothing and a long
breath in the air removes all the
tiredness. Shri kalnath Bhairav is the God
of Bahiravgarhi and in May, popular fare
is organized here. |
| Another popular religious & historical place
in this area is Hanumangarhi, which has
popular Hanuman temple. Hanumangarhi is 3
km. from Kirtikhal. This 3 km trek is
awesome and gives a mix enjoy of grass
lands, forest and steep climb. Most
importantly, I believe this is the best
place for Shivalik range view. |

01) Arrival
at Kotdwar by 06:30 AM. Recreation
& breakfast at Kotdwar. Drive
to Kirtikhal. Luch t 1:00 PM,
after lunch at 1:30 PM trek to
Bhairon Garhi 2 Km. After temple
visit & Himalayan view return
to Kirtikhal at 4:00 PM. Arrival
at Kirtikhal at 5:00 PM Dinner,
Camp fire & night stay in
tents. |

02) In the morning after
breakfast at 9:00 AM 3.5 km. trek
to Hanuman Garhi. Arrival at
Hanuman garhi 11:00 AM. 12:30 PM
departure from Hanuman Garhi to
Kirtikhal. Arrival at kirtikhal at
1:30 PM. Return to kotdwar at 4:00
PM. Arrival at kotdwar at 5:30 PM.
Dinner at 8:30 PM. 9:30 PM
departure to
delhi
by train.
