Har ki Dun

Season :   From May to June and Sept. to October

Accommodation :  Tourist Rest House and Forest Rest House are available.
At an elevation of 3566 mts. It is surrounding by glittering peaks and dense forests. The forests are rich in wildlife and is a veritable paradise for bird - watchers and nature lovers. The trek from Taluka to Osla is through dense forests of chestnuts, walnuts, willows and chinars. The trek from Sema to Har-Ki-Dun is through terraced mountain fields, lush green grassy land and conifer forests.

Air : The nearest airport is Jolly Grant 239 km.
Rail : Nearest Railhead is Rishikesh 222 kms.
Road : Well connected by motorable roads to all the major towns of the region. It is on the way to Gangotri.

Excursion

Jaundhar Glacier
About 8 kms. from the north of Har-Ki-Dun valley, the total trek is enjoyable upto 5 kms. along the river and valley, after 3 kms. trek upto the glacier is diersome.
Barsu Valley
Left north of Har-Ki-Dun there is Barsu valley, home of baral mountain. In this valley there is morinda tal. the valley is enchanting with natural flowers in July to September.
