Sahastra Tal is situated near the
border of Uttarkashi & Tehri
District of Garhwal. There are a
numbers of Tals in this region,
therefore the region is named Sahastra
Tal. The Tals are around 3 km. further
from Kyarki Bugyal, a beautiful
natural carpet of grass. |
| On the second Route, after trekking a bit from Titrana,
another popular Tal "RaksriTal"
lies. Continuing same route, we can also
visit Mall Maheswar and Tall
Maheshwar on the way. These two
lakes are situated in the forest
of |

| Bamboo and Rhododendron.The entire route is
extremely difficult but the
beauty of the route immediately
evaporates the feeling of difficulty. The
trekkers sometimes roam in the deep valley and sometimes
they find themselves on the top of
mountains, ultimately we visit the vast
plain of "Bugyal".

| The carpet, "Bugyal" gives the
trekkers a feelings of being in paradise,
specially the mist around looks very mysterious.
The moments are unforgettable when the nature
plunges into the mist and suddenly comes out. |

| First we visit SamTal, then LambTal
and 1 km. ahead of LambTal, their
lies LingTal. Matri Tal
lies after 1-1/2 km. from LingTal and
finally the great & vast SahastraTal
lies 3 km. ahead of Matri Tal. |
