This
is a winter seat of Lord Krishna, and worship is done
here is during the winter when the temple of Kadarnath
remains closed. The temple of Usha and Anniruddha,
Shiva and Parvati are worth visiting. Ukhimath is
situated on Guptkashi Gopeshwar motor road. It is
at a distance of 1.2 kms. from the district headqaurter
of Rudraprayag at an elevation of 1311 mts. Ukhimath
is connected by direct bus service with Rudraprayag
Gaurikund, Guptkashi & Srinagar. From Ukhimath
on a clear day one can see the beautiful view of Kedarnath
peak, Chaukhamba & other green beautiful valley. |

in high religious esteems . The temple of Goddess
Kali located here is visited by a large number of
devoties round the year. It is 23 km. from Ukhimath
